BKB Champion Harry Gigliotti Signs With BKFC

BKB Super Lightweight Champion Harry Gigliotti announced he’s signed a multi-fight deal with BKFC.

“Multi-deal officially signed and announced with @bareknucklefc. Looking forward to showcasing everything I work for and taking over the show,” Gigliotti wrote in an Instagram post.

“See you soon, my son, @kingkai_145. 😉👊,” Gigliotti continued, referring to BKFC Featherweight Champion Kai Stewart.

Massachussets Hitman

Gigliotti hails from Massachussets, located on America’s east coast. It’s the same state boxing legends Marvin Hagler and Micky Ward fought out of.

Fighting exclusively for BKB, Gigliotti has built an impressive record of 5-0 (4 KOs). Veteran Rusty Crowder is the only man so far to last the distance with Harry “The Hitman”, who has won two fights by body shot KO.

Gigliotti is scheduled to defend his BKB title for the third time on 28 March against Estevan Partida. It’s doubtful that fight still happens since Gigliotti has signed with BKB’s rival, BKFC.

BKFC’s featherweight division (145 pound weight limit) features some top notch talent. In addition to champion Stewart, the top ranked contender is unbeaten Edgard Plazaola, with rising phenom Nathan Rivera and rugged Nico Gaffie checking in at numbers two and three.

There will be some challenging bouts for Gigliotti, who will have to adapt to shorter rounds and a bigger ring in BKFC. All BKFC bouts are fought with two minute rounds while BKB’s men’s bouts are mostly fought with three minute rounds like professional boxing.

How do you think Harry Gigliotti will do in BKFC???

UPDATE:
Mel Valenzuela, BKB’s longtime top matchmaker, commented on Gigliotti’s departure.

Valenzuela thanked Gigliotti “for his contributions” and wished him luck in BKFC. He also confirmed the BKB World Lightweight Title is now vacant.
