Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship is back with another big event this weekend.
BKFC goes down Friday night in Salt Lake City, USA. And just weeks after Britain Hart beat Taylor Starling, the ladies are headlining another pay-per-view event.
Christine Ferea defends her BKFC World Flyweight Title for the fourth time against Canadian contender, Jade Masson-Wong.
Christine Ferea: Bare Knuckle’s Pound-for-Pound Queen
The 41-year-old Ferea has looked untouchable in recent bouts.
“The Misfit” turned back a game Britain Hart to win the belt on points in February 2022, then overwhelmed Starling in less than a round six months later.
Ferea defeated former champ Bec Rawlings in her last two bouts. She left no doubt in their December rematch-Ferea outboxed and outfought the popular Australian to win a wide unanimous decision.
Ferea seems to improve with every fight. Her ring generalship, accuracy and power have proven too much for every opponent except Helen Peralta. The points loss to Peralta happened five years ago. Since then, Ferea hasn’t tasted defeat.
Jade Masson-Wong
The French-Canadien Wong hails from the Montreal area. Like Ferea, the 31-year-old competed in MMA before switching to bare knuckle.
Wong is 3-1 in BKFC’s “Squared Circle”. Her only loss is to unbeaten contender Christine Vicens.
Wong has shown good skills but hasn’t faced anyone as talented and experienced as the champion.
Wong will likely be a big underdog with the oddsmakers heading into Friday’s showdown. If she’s somehow able to dethrone the champion, it could be the biggest upset in BKFC’s short history.
Taylor vs Stephens
In the BKFC 65 co-main event, UFC veteran Jeremy Stephens returns to BKFC to face lightweight contender Bobby Taylor.
Stephens stopped fellow UFC veteran Jimmie Rivera in his debut last December.
The veteran Taylor is 6-2 in BKFC. His only defeats are to former title challengers James “Lights Out” Lilley and Martin Brown.
The winner could be the next challenger for the currently vacant BKFC Lightweight Title. Tony Soto and Franco Tenaglia battle for the vacant belt at BKFC Spain on 12 October in Marbella.
BKFC 65: How to Watch
BKFC 65 will be streamed live on the BKFC app. Triller TV is also broadcasting the event on a pay-per-view basis.
