Former BKFC bantamweight champ Keith Richardson showed he’s still a force to be reckoned with.
Richardson devastated previously unbeaten Michael Larrimore, knocking him out in just 21 seconds Friday night.
The fight headlined BKFC 69 at the Gas South Arena in Atlanta, and streamed worldwide on DAZN.
Richardson went on the front foot early. He caught Larrimore with a hard right hand and follow up punches. Larrimore slumped to the canvas, with the ref waving it off and the medical staff rushing in to check on the downed fighter.
Richardson improved to 5-1 with the win. It was his first match since losing his title by KO to unbeaten Cuban Alberto Blas. Larrimore dips to 2-1.
No doubt Richardson will be in the conversation for a Blas rematch after such an impressive performance.
In the co-main event, pro boxing veteran Derrick Findley won a close split decision over hometown favourite Joe Elmore. Judges’ scores were 48-47 (twice) and 46-49.
Findley was mainly the aggressor in a close and hard to score fight. Elmore was busier, but Findley slipped and moved back from the local’s wide shots. Neither fighter was seriously hurt or knocked down. In the end, Findley’s aggression and cleaner punches probably earned him the nod.
In other action, Justin Watson set a new record, knocking out Cole Ferrell in just 2.9 SECONDS!
