BYB returns to the United Kingdom for the first time since its historic merger with BKB. In May, BYB acquired BKB, the British promotion that launched the modern era of bare knuckle boxing in the UK.
The Vale Arena in Cardiff is the stage for BYB’s milestone 30th event. The official weigh-in was held today (weights below).
The BYB 30 fight card is headlined by the biggest main event in the promotion’s history.
Barrie Jones of Wales, widely regarded as the world’s best bare knuckle fighter, takes on LT “Smash” Nelson. Nelson is a 2-time BYB world champion. The South Africa native, now residing in Oklahoma, USA, could give the unbeaten Jones his sternest test yet. The winner will walk away with the historic BYB Police Gazette Diamond World Super Middleweight Title belt.
Fittingly, BYB 30 Cardiff Brawl is loaded with Welsh talent.
Hard-hitting Dan Lerwell collides David Caleveley of England in the co-main event.
Welsh boxing standout Dorian “Darkfruits” Darch makes his BYB debut versus Volodymyr Skurtu of Ukraine.
Jonny “JJJ” Jones, another Welsh talent, meets Joe Fitzpatrick.
Some well-known BKB talents from England are also in action. Paul Hilz takes on Jonny Lawson of Northern Ireland in the curtain raiser. Talented Martin Refell meets Ryan McCann.
