BYB 31 Stockyard Brawl: Results, Photos, Highlights

Julio-Tanori Rodriguez scored a surprising second-round knockout over rival Mark Irwin at BYB 31 on Saturday.

The reigning BYB Lightweight Champion dropped Irwin with a well-placed counter right.

Irwin couldn’t continue, giving the 22-year-old Tanori his first successful title defence.

Tanori-Rodriguez and Irwin fought six brutal rounds last year. Tanori won a close decision in an exciting bout, leading to an instant rematch.

No doubts about the outcome, this time. Tanori improves his BYB record to 4-0 (3 KOs). Irwin is now 2-2 (1 KO) in BYB.

Khortni Kamyron Upsets Paty Juarez

Another unexpected result happened in the BYB 31 co-feature.

Khortni Kamyron defeated lightweight champ Paty Juarez in a BYB Police Gazette Super Lightweight Title fight.

The bout was stopped in the sixth and final round. The ringside doctor advised the referee Juarez couldn’t continue because of cuts.

Other BYB 31 Results

Henry Williams won his 3rd straight bout. “The Florida Gremlin” improved his record to 5-2 with a five-round unanimous decision win against debuting Tommy Aaron. Official scores were 48-45 and 47-46 twice.

Javon Wright defeated Kylle McMillan by five-round unanimous decision.

It was Wright’s first BYB win. He was stopped by Roberto Duran Jr in his BYB debut last May.

Mike Santos halted Art Parker in a cruiserweight matchup.

Croatian pro boxer Emil Markic improved to 2-0 in bare knuckle. Markic defeated BYB veteran Joey Angelo by 2nd round stoppage.

MMA and UFC veteran Cody East defeated Lucas Kailing in battle of debuting fighters. East won by first-round stoppage.
