Northern Ireland’s Conor Cooke will face Yorkshire’s Anthony Holmes in the main event of BKFC Fight Night Derby on 13 December. The bout will be for the vacant BKFC UK Light Heavyweight Title.
BKFC Fight Night Derby takes place at Vaillant Live in Derby. Tickets are now available via Ticketmaster.
Cooke, 5-1 (4 KOs), earned a title opportunity with three straight wins since a stoppage loss to Dawid Oskar in February 2024. In his last bout, Cooke defeated Stevie Taylor by first-round stoppage.
Anthony Holmes is no stranger to UK bare knuckle fans. “The Yorkshire Gladiator” debuted way back in 2019 with a points win over Mason Shaw in BKB. Holmes followed with wins over Ryan Barrett and Dan Lerwell in BKB before drawing with Chad Kelly.
He moved over to BKFC in 2022, stopping Darren Hendry in his promotional debut. Holmes hit a rough patch with stoppage defeats to Danny Christie and Bart Krol in 2023.
Holmes snapped the two-fight skid with a second-round TKO over Chaz Wasserman last November. The Cooke fight will be his first fight in 2025.
Also official for BKFC Fight Night Derby is a welterweight bout between Paul Cook (3-1) and Matthew Wiwczaryk (3-1).
