Britain’s Danny Christie will challenge BKFC Middleweight Champion David Mundell on 12 October in Spain. The rumoured fight has been added to the BKFC Spain official fight card.
Christie, fighting out of Carlisle, is 5-1 in BKFC since debuting in 2022. His only loss is by stoppage to current BKFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jared Warren. Since the Warren loss, Christie has won two in a row.
Mundell is making his third title defense. Fighting out of Florida USA, “The Redneck” will be fighting for the first time in 2024 after a huge 2023. Mundell successfully defended his title against Mike Richman and Doug Coltrane last year.
Championship Tripleheader Planned for BKFC Spain
Mundell-Christie is just one of three title bouts planned for BKFC Spain, being held at the Marbella Arena.
Franco Tenaglia, originally from Argentina and now a Spain-based fighter, takes on Tony Soto in the main event. The BKFC Lightweight Title will be on the line. Neither Tenaglia (3-0) or Soto (6-0) have lost in BKFC’s Squared Circle.
Former boxing champ and current BKFC welterweight titleholder Austin “No Doubt” Trout takes on Rico Franco in the other title match.
Trout put on a sensational boxing performance in lifting the title from Luis Palomino. He’ll face his most experienced bare knuckle opponent to date.
Franco once held a title in Britain’s BKB league before joining BKFC last year. He’s won 9 of 11 bare knuckle bouts, while Trout is just 2-0 in gloveless combat.
BKFC Spain will be streamed worldwide via the BKFC app. Triller TV is also broadcasting the event on a pay-per-view basis.
