Porter (3-0, 3 KOs) will be making his fourth appearance at the Mohegan Sun for BKFC. In his last bout, Porter survived three knockdowns before he battled back to stop Anthony Garrett in the second round. It was by far Porter’s toughest bare knuckle fight to date, and the local Connecticut fighter showed amazing heart and desire.
Watson (4-1, 4 KOs) has won four straight since Bryant Acheson stopped him in Watson’s 2021 debut. Nicknamed “Stay Down”, the Colorado heavyweight is best known for beating former NFL player Greg Hardy at Knucklemania 3.
It’s a matchup that guarantees fireworks. Porter is in the heavyweight title fight conversation, and it’s possible BKFC could match him with fellow unbeaten contender Leonardo Perdomo if he beats Watson. Similarly, Watson could earn a title eliminator against Perdomo if he upsets Porter in March.
Ben Rothwell is currently the BKFC Heavyweight Champion. Rothwell defends the title against his former MMA rival Andrei Arlovski at Knucklemania VI next month in Philadelphia.
