Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship made a triumphant homecoming to its hometown of Philadelphia Saturday with Knucklemania V.
Over 17,000 fans attended the event, which took place at the Wells Fargo Center. It’s the largest crowd for a bare knuckle fighting event in the modern era.
In the main event, Jeremy Stephens was too strong for fellow UFC veteran Eddie Alvarez, knocking Alvarez down twice before the fight was stopped after three rounds.

Big Ben Rothwell (4-0, 4 KOs) proved he’s the most fearsome man in bare knuckle, knocking out Mick Terrill (9-2) in the first round. Rothwell is the new BKFC Heavyweight Champion with the win.
In a match up of female contenders, Bec Rawlings (4-3) scored a first-round knockdown, en route to a unanimous decision win over Taylor Starling (4-4).
Unbeaten prospect Pat Brady (2-0, 2 KOs) proved he’s a force in the heavyweight division. Brady stopped rising contender Zach Calmus (5-3, 4 KOs) in 53 seconds of round one.

Local fighter John Gabarino made a successful BKFC debut. Gabarino stopped Apostle Spencer (0-2) in the first round. After the bout, Gabarino successfully proposed to his fiancee.

Kaine Tomlinson Jr improved his BKFC record to 2-1. Tomlinson viciously knocked out debuting local Pat Sullivan in the first round.

Heavyweight veteran Steve Banks (3-2) spoiled the BKFC debut of local lad Joey Dawejko (0-1), a professional heavyweight boxer. Banks rose from a first round knockdown to stop Dawejko in the third round.

Brandon Meyer improved to 3-2 in BKFC’s Squared Circle. Meyer flattened debuting local Zedekiah Montanez with a left hand in round two.

In the opening main card bout, Phil Caracappa defeated Noah Norman by disqualification in the fourth round. Both men made their BKFC debuts.
Knucklemania V Prelims
Two prelims took place before the stacked Knucklemania V main card. Itso Babulaidze defeated Bryan McDowell by unanimous decision, in the Fight of the Night. Cody Russell stopped Logan Tucker in three rounds.
