BKB Signs Former Boxing Contender and BKFC UK Fighter

BKB Bare Knuckle announced two new additions to its fighter roster: John Molina Jr and Pic Jardine.

Molina Jr is a former boxing contender from Southern California. Known for his heavy hands, Molina compiled a record of 30-9 (24 KOs) during a 13-year professional career.

He faced some of the top names of his era, including Terence Crawford, Adrien Broner and Lucas Matthysse. Molina was stopped by Crawford and Matthysse and lost a decision to Broner.

Molina’s biggest win came in 2016. He outboxed former world champion Ruslan Provodnikov to earn a unanimoud decision win.

Molina was known for his power rather than his technical ability. That could translate well to bare knuckle, where bouts are shorter and more intense than gloved boxing.

Molina joins Lee Selby, Victor Oritz, Yuriorkis Gamboa and Paulie Malignaggi as high-level boxers on the BKB roster.

BKB Signs Unbeaten Pic Jardine

Earlier today, BKB announced it signed the unbeaten Jardine (2-0), a well-regarded UK bare knuckler fighting out of County Durham, England.

Jardine has only two wins to his name but they both came against quality opposition.

In his debut, Jardine handed Bart Krol his first loss at a BKFC event in Newcastle. Krol was 3-0 when he faced Jardine. Jardine stopped him in the third round.

Jardine was rewarded with a co-main event slot against then 3-0 Tony Shields last year on the Karl Thompson-Rob Boardman undercard. Shields hadn’t gone past two rounds in wins over BKB veterans Nathan DeCastro, Ionel Levitchi, and Liam Wilson.

Jardine landed the harder punches to upset the more experienced Shields by unanimous decision. Jardine weighed near 175 lbs in both his previous bare knuckle bouts, so fans can expect him to compete either as a super middleweight or light heavyweight for BKB.

It’s the second former BKFC UK fighter signed by BKB in recent days.

Earlier this week, the promotion announced it signed 3-0 Danny Mitchell.
