BKFC Fight Night Newcastle: Updated 14 March Fight Card

We’re just one sleep away from BKFC Fight Night Newcastle, taking place at the Utilita Arena.

The fight card had some late changes.

The main event is still intact-local hero and former heavyweight champion Mick Terrill makes his ring return against Scotland’s Ghost McFarlane.

The big news is Gary Fox is out of Saturday’s co-main event against James Lilley. The two veteran contenders were to collide for Fox’s BKFC UK Featherweight Title.

The new co-main event for BKFC Fight Night Newcastle is a light heavyweight bout between veteran Matty Hodgson (7-4) and unbeaten Sean Weir (2-0).

Lilley is still on the card.

Wales’s “Fighting Poet” takes on Dutchman Yannick Van Dinther, who replaces Josue Ekedi, who replaced Fox. Van Dinther has competed in amateur MMA in his native Netherlands. He was stopped by Stanton Cornthwaite in his bare knuckle debut last December.

Unbeaten Dec Spelman (2-0) now faces newcomer Johnny Redmond (0-0), a late replacement for veteran Mason Shaw.

Former WWE professional wrestler Gzim Selmani faces Daniel Curtin in the featured fight.

In all, 13 bouts are currently scheduled for the event, to be streamed live starting at 7pm on the BKFC Plus App, Fubo Sports, and Triller TV+. Subscription required.
