BKFC President David Feldman has held discussions with Team Fury regarding a Tommy Fury-Darren Till bare knuckle bout. Feldman disclosed the negotiations during the BKFC 94 postfight press conference Saturday.
“I talked to his manager. We’re going to talk this week a little bit more,” Feldman said, when asked by a journalist if he’d discussed a Till bout with Tommy.
“You know, there’s a lot of hostility between the Fury family and Darren Till, so I don’t know if we get that over the line, to be honest with you.”
“He’s interested in it. And we’re gonna keep pressing it. But we are in talks with him and this week we’re gonna pick up these talks and see if we can make something happen.”
A Fury vs Till bout would probably be the biggest fight BKFC could put on in the UK. Till has spoken of facing Mike Perry in a stadium bout, but Perry’s drawing power pales in comparison to Fury’s.
The 27-year-old Fury is a household name in the UK, having appeared on the reality show Love Island, as well as a BBC documentary series, various media ads, and also in older brother Tyson’s Netflix series.
Tommy is unbeaten in pro boxing and has beaten well known influencers Jake Paul and KSI. Fury reportedly collected seven figure purses for both wins. In his last bout, Fury defeated strongman Eddie Hall in a heavyweight exhibition on a Misfits Boxing pay-per-view event. If Feldman is able to get Tommy to cross over for a BKFC fight, it would be a huge boost for the BKFC brand in the UK.
Fury and Till were scheduled to fight in Misfits in January 2025. Fury called the fight off after Till “threatened to break boxing rules by using a head kick if he was losing in the latter stages”. Till has badmouthed Fury on social media, and the “bad blood” Feldman referred to may preclude Tommy from giving Till a payday.
Any Fury-Till fight would probably take place next summer at the earliest. Fury is “in line” for a December bout in Manchester for Misfits Boxing with a Jake Paul rematch being mentioned as a possibility.
Till meanwhile just fought last Saturday, winning a decision over fellow UFC veteran Yoel Romero at BKFC 94.
