Joe Lister climbed off the canvas to knock down Harry Bray twice and score a second-round TKO win. Lister improves to 3-1. Bray is now 1-1.
Unbeaten prospect Mikey Henderson improved to 4-0 with a first-round stoppage win against Matthew Wiwczaryk. Henderson scored a knockdown with a short left to the jaw during an early exchange, and came forward with big shots. Wiwczaryk (3-2-1) was bleeding quite a bit and the fight was stopped in his corner between rounds.
Bolton’s Stew Martin (2-1) was too strong for debuting Joshua Williams, knocking Williams down three times en route to a TKO victory. Williams had a badly swollen left eye when the fight was stopped by the doctor before round three started.
Veteran Bart Krol (6-2) returned from a year layoff with a first-round TKO over Luke Vaughan (0-1). Krol dropped Vaughan early with an uppercut-hook combo before finishing his overmatched foe with uppercuts and body shots, again from the clinch.
Leigh Cohoon improved to 4-1 with a second=round TKO over Ste Wallwork (2-1) in the main card’s opening bout. The fight was stopped between rounds two and three by the ringside physician.
BKFC 94 Prelims Results
The card opened with an entertaining welterweight bout between Luke Bassnett (3-0) and Darren Willans (0-1). Both men landed some clean shots, but Bassnett had the superior firepower, knocking Willans down three times. A Bassnett right dropped Willans for the count late in round two.
Tyrone Hamer (1-0) earned local bragging rights with a third-round stoppage win over fellow Mancunian, Liam Dooley (1-2). Hamer got the better of the action at long range and on the inside, striking effectively in the half-Thai clinch. By round three, both men’s mouths were open from the pace.
Hamer dropped a tiring Dooley, who gamely got up before he was knocked down again for the count.
In the final prelim, Ben Lowe (1-2) earned his first bare knuckle win with a first-round stoppage against veteran Dan McGraffin (4-4). Lowe scored two knockdowns, with McGraffin taking the count late in round one.
