The BKFC event scheduled for October 17 in Belgrade, Serbia has been postponed.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, BKFC’s upcoming event in Serbia on October 17 has been postponed. A new date will be announced in due course. All purchased tickes will be refunded,” BKFC Serbia posted on Instagram.
The Belgrade event was highly anticipated with Britain’s Agi Faulkner facing Montenegro’s Dilan Prasovic for the BKFC Europe Heavyweight Title.
Former boxing champion Dejan Zlaticanin, a former pro boxing world champion from Montenegro, was also scheduled for action. Content creator and former Power Slap champion Sheena Bathory was set to make her bare knuckle debut at the event. Talented Russian kickboxer turned bare knuckle fighter Vladislav Tuinov will have to wait for his BKFC return.
It’s a blow to local fans who planned to attend and also the promotion’s global fan base. Hopefully, much of the original fight card remains intact for the new date.
The next BKFC event is BKFC Fight Night Bethlehem taking place tonight in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Next weekend, BKFC is back in New Jersey for its second event. Jamal Herring defends the bantamweight title against flyweight champ John Dodson in the main event.
