Wisniewski Upsets Hepi
In the opening bout, Krzysztof Wisniewski (2-0, 2 KOs) scored an upset over Haze Hepi (3-1, 2 Kos).
Wisniewski felt Hepi’s power early, before knocking the favoured New Zealander down with a right.

Hepi recovered and won rounds two and three, before the heavyweight bout was stopped because of a cut on Hepi’s left eyelid.
Pugliesi Stops Karl Thompson
Italy’s Walter Pugliesi (2-0, 1 KO) defeated BKFC UK cruiserweight champion Karl Thompson by first-round stoppage.
Thompson (4-1, 3 KOs) was outboxing the aggressive Pugliesi before getting knocked down by a left hook during an exchange.
Pugliesi quickly knocked down Thompson again, who got up before the referee stopped the fight.
James Brown def. Dan Chapman-TKO Round 4
Featherweight contender James Brown (5-1) handed former BKB star Dan Chapman (6-1) his first loss, stopping him on cuts after round four.
Chapman was unable to deal with Brown’s height (7 inches) and reach advantages.
Brown was able to keep the fight at distance. Chapman tried to explode inside but Brown moved well.
Brown knocked Chapman down in the first round, and cut him over both eyes with right jabs and lefts before the fight was stopped in Chapman’s corner before round five.

Carlos Trinidad-Snake Knocks Out Legend Jimmy Sweeney
Former title challenger Carlos Trinidad-Snake defeated Jimmy Sweeney by third-round knockout.
Sweeney had the edge after two rounds, using his left jab well and picking up the action in round two.
But Trinidad caught the legend with a short left in round three dropping him to the canvas for the count.
Trinidad-Snake improved his record to 7-1 (5 KOs) with the win. His only loss is a close decision defeat to former welterweight champion Austin Trout.

Nico Gaffie def. Jelle Zeegers-KO Round 1 (Wins BKFC Europe Featherweight Title)
Spain’s Nico Gaffie continues to impress.
The unbeaten Gaffie (3-0, 3 KOs) made quick work of Dutchman Jelle Zeegers, stopping him in the first round to win the inaugural BKFC Europe featherweight belt.

Josef Hala def. Francesco Ricchi-TKO Round 3 (Hala Wins BKFC European Middleweight Title)
Hala (5-0, 5 KOs) showed he’s a world class bare knuckle fighter, stopping former BKFC champion Ricchi (7-3, 5 KOs) in three rounds.
Hala took control of a competitive fight in round two, stunning Ricchi with a right hand before knocking him down.
Ricchi was knocked down again in round two. The Rome native continued battling in round three, landing a good left before getting knocked down again.
Hala scored a fourth knockdown. The bloodied Ricchi showed a lion’s heart, getting up again with the fight being stopped after Hala continued to land after the restart.

Franco Tenaglia def. Ben Bonner-Split Decision
Former champ Tenaglia defeated interim champ Bonner to earn a place in the lightweight tournament final.
Tenaglia applied pressure while Bonner tried to box move and counter.
Bonner was more effective as the fight wore on. Tenaglia was troubled by a swollen right eye.
It seemed the fight could go either way. The Judges favoured the aggressor Tenaglia by scores of 48-47, 48-47 and 47-48.

Alessio Sakara def. Chris Camozzi-Split Decision (Wins BKFC Cruiserweight World Title)
Sakara won a close decision over Camozzi to win the belt. Official scores were 48-47, 48-47 and 47-48.
Camozzi controlled the bout early, catching Sakara as he came into range and scoring with uppercuts in the Thai clinch.
But Sakara kept marching forward and got the better of the action in the late rounds to get the win.

BKFC 83 Prelims Results
Middleweight: Ouadia Tergui (Morocco/Italy) def. Enzo Tobbia (Italy)-TKO Round 3
Tergui won his BKFC debut with a controversial TKO win over Tobbia (1-1).
Tergui, an Italy-based Moroccan, was the aggressor but the southpaw Tobbia connected with clean lefts. Tergui’s
right eye was nearly shut, and the ringside doctor checked it before round three began.
Tergui accidentally raked Tobbia’s eye in round three. Tobbia turned his back, and Tergui threw more punches. The referee
waved the fight off and the crowd whistled its disapproval.
Cruiserweight: Ernesto Papa (Italy) def. Fred Sikking (Netherlands)-KO Round 1
Papa (2-0, 2 KOs) made quick work of kickboxing veteran Sikking (0-1), stopping him in 53 seconds.
Papa went after Sikking from the start. Some punches got through and down went Sikking. Papa kept up the attack after Sikking got up, scoring a second knockdown. Sikking was still hurt when he got up and ref Andrew Glenn stopped the fight.

Light Heavyweight: Tomas Melis (Czechia) def. Andrea Bicchi (Italy)-KO Round 1
Melis (5-0, 3 KOs) rose from a knockdown to catch and stop Bicchi late in round one.
Bicchi (2-3) boxed well early, scoring with jabs and cutting and knocking down Melis.
Melis turned the tables later in the round, catching Bicchi with a right that stunned the Italian.
Melis kept throwing and a follow up rights dropped Bicchi to the canvas for the count. Official time was 1:59 of round one.
