Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship announced its returning to Newcastle for its first UK event of 2025.
BKFC Fight Night Newcastle takes place on 8 February, a Saturday, at the Walker Activity Dome. The event comes just 3 months after the epic BKFC 68 event in The Toon, where Agi Faulkner became European champion.
Unbeaten cruiserweights clash in the title fight main event. Karl “The Wasp” Thompson (3-0) meets Rob Boardman (6-0).
In November at BKFC 68, Thompson had some tough moments early before stopping Dawid Chylinski in round three. Boardman last fought in August, stopping veteran Lee Browne in four rounds. Boardman is the more experienced bare knuckler, competing in BKB before joining BKFC. He was also undefeated in pro boxing before switching to bare knuckle.
Tony Shields Makes BKFC Debut
Hull’s Tony Shields (3-0, 3 KOs) makes his BKFC debut in the co-main event, taking on Pic Jardine (1-0).
A former pro boxer and MMA fighter who turned to bare knuckle, Shields went 3-0 in the BKB organisation before signing with BKFC. He knocked out Nathan De Castro in his debut, before following with stoppages over Liam Wilson and Ionel Levitchi.
Jardine debuted in BKFC this past June, stopping Bart Krol in three rounds.
Tickets for BKFC Fight Night Newcastle are now on sale. The event streams live on the BKFC app with a 6pm local start time.
