BKFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Jessica Borga has been “cleared” and is planning her return to the BKFC Squared Circle.
“I feel more than good. I got cleared yesterday,” Borga told BKFC’s Cyrus Fees in an interview during Friday night’s broadcast of BKFC Fight Night Clearwater.
“You will be hearing fight news soon. I’m itching to get back in there,” she said.
Borga has been sidelined since a brutal knockout defeat to women’s flyweight champ Christine Ferea last October. Ferea smashed Borga’s nose with a devastating right hand. Borga took a knee and was counted out in the fourth round.
She’s been on the sidelines since. Now, with medical clearance to resume her fighting career, Borga has a couple of names in mind for a future battle.
“Aspen Ladd. I want the rematch with Ferea. My weight class (Borga had to move down from 145 lbs to 135 for the first fight). I want it all. I want em all,” she said.
According to Borga, it’s been frustrating watching fights but being unable to compete.
“£very time, I watch the fights. Especially in my hometown. The energy, everything. It’s an itch I can’t scratch until I’m in there. I can’t wait to fucking fight.”
