Former BKFC welterweight champion Gorjan “GoGo” Slaveski and Jonny Tello will rematch on the BKFSea “Bruise Cruise” taking place in January 2027. BKFC President David Feldman announced the rematch during the BKFC Fight Night Hollywood postfight press conference.
Slaveski and Tello battled furiously for five rounds last Thursday at BKFC Fight Night Hollywood.
Slaveski knocked Tello down twice, but the tough Canadian got up and gave as good as he got in a back-and-forth battle. Even with the knockdowns, Slaveski prevailed by close scores of 47-46, 47-46, and 48-45. The bout was chosen “Fight of the Night”.
Tello said he was “bummed out” at losing the decision, but vowed to “dedicate his whole effort in life” to the rematch, prioritising the fight over business interests.
The Canadian also praised Slaveski’s toughness.
“I punched him a lot and he just took it,” he said.
The BKFSea Bruise Cruise takes place between 22 and 25 January, 2027. Attending fans will sail from Miami to Nassau on The Norwegian Jewel, a 15-deck ship with a capacity of over 2,000 people.
Fans will be treated to a live fight card, with the lovely BKFC ring girls and select BKFC fighters in attendance. It’s a chance for fans to enjoy a short holiday while checking out a live BKFC event and interacting with other members of the bare knuckle community.
