BKFC is back this weekend with Knuckle Mania V, the promotion’s biggest event to date.
The event takes place at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center. Seventeeen thousand fans are expected to attend, making it the biggest bare knuckle event in modern history.
UFC veterans Eddie Alvarez and Jeremy Stephens do battle in the main event, with Britain’s Mick Terrill defending the BKFC Heavyweight Title against Ben Rothwell in the co-main.
Female contender Taylor Starling takes on Bec Rawlings in the featured fight.
Heavyweights in Action
In addition to the Terrill-Rothwell co-main event, two other heavyweight bouts are scheduled.
Fan favourite Zach Calmus (5-2) faces Pat Brady (1-0). Calmus has won four straight BKFC bouts, and hasn’t lost in the squared circle since October 2022. A win moves the Massachussetts native closer to a top five ranking.
In the other match, local lad and pro boxing heavyweight Joey Dawejko makes his bare knuckle debut.
The 34-year-old Dawejko has boxed professionally over 40 times, facing top Heavyweights such as Frank Sanchez, Bryant Jennings and Sergey Kuzmin.
Dawejko meets veteran Steve “Panda” Banks (3-2), a veteran of Muay Thai and bare knuckle.
BKFC Knucklemania V: Other Bouts
Also part of the Knucklemania V fight card is veteran Travis Thompson. “The Animal”, a veteran of nearly a dozen BKFC bouts, hails from nearby Pottstown. Thompson looks to snap a two-fight losing streak against Zachary Pannell (1-2).
Welterweight veteran Dustin Pague (3-2) takes on newcomer and former BYB title challenger JD “Berzerker” Burns (3-4).
Six other matches round out the card, with a number of newcomers and local fighters.
