Unbeaten phenom Bryce Henry (6-0, 6 KOs) will take on former welterweight champion Julian Lane on 4 June in Hollywood, Florida. The bout will headline BKFC Fight Night Hollywood at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
Henry hails from nearby Oakland Park, around a 20-minute drive away from the venue. The 25-year-old Henry will have hometown advantage as he faces the toughest test of his bare knuckle career.
Henry has looked sensational so far in his six BKFC appearances. Standing 6 feet 4 inches tall, “Baba Yaga” has shown impressive speed and power in disposing of veteran Tom Shoaff, previously undefeated Roberto Peralta, and former boxer Derrick Findley.
He’s also shown a knack for self promotion. Henry went viral last year for playing chess with his coach in between rounds during his victory over Roderick Stewart at BKFC Fight Night Hammond.
Lane (9-10) is making his first ring appearance since a razor thin decision loss to Dustin Pague in January. The loss cost Lane the BKFC welterweight belt and snapped his five-bout win streak. The 38-year-old, who defeated Irish legend Jimmy Sweeney in his bare knuckle debut in 2017, knows he needs to capitalise on the opportunity. An impressive win over Henry instantly puts Lane back into title contention.
BKFC Fight Night Hollywood is the first of three BKFC events in June. Two weeks later, the promotion debuts in Nashville, Tennessee. The Pinnacle hosts the 19 June event.
The following week, Bare Knuckle FC returns to Hammond, Indiana with a 26 June event at Hammond Casino. The main events for the Nashville and Hammond fight cards are to be confirmed.
Don’t forget to tune in this weekend for BKFC 88 and BKFC’s first event in Australia!
