Weights are in from Down Under for tomorrow’s BKFC Fight Night Australia event taking place in Eaton Hills, Queensland in the greater Brisbane area.
Unfortunately, there’s been a late main event change. Heavyweight contender Haze Hepi was scheduled to face returning veteran Sam Shewmaker in tomorrow’s headline bout.
That bout was officially scratched earlier today because Shewmaker experienced “travel issues”.
Hepi, the Maori tribesman now based in Australia, is off the card. The new main event matches Josh Kuhne (1-0) from Queensland’s Gold Coast against debuting Shaun Curran.
Kuhne won his debut at April’s BKFC Fight Night Australia event. “Kamikaze” stopped Micky Whitehead in three rounds. The Australian fighter also has a 4-3 Pro MMA record, according to Tapology.
Curran comes from a Muay Thai background.
Former pro boxing world title challenger Mark “Bam Bam” Flanagan (0-1 bare knuckle record) collides with debuting Jan Van Ziegler in the co-feature. Six more bare knuckle bouts round out the card.
BKFC Fight Night Australia streams live on the BKFC App starting at 18:30 local Queensland time. That’s 9:30 tomorrow morning in the UK, and 4:30 am ET/1:30 am PT.
UK fans can also catch the stream live on DAZN or Triller TV (subscriptions required).
The Eaton Hills Hotel in Eaton Hills, part of the greater Brisbane metropolitan area, hosts the event.
