BYB visited Cardiff for the first time Saturday.
A sold-out Vale Arena witnessed an exciting 11-bout bare knuckle fight card, with plenty
of knockouts and blood.
LT Nelson Leaves No Doubt
The BYB 30 main event matched the promotion’s two top brawlers. Local favourite Barrie Jones, regarded by many as the world’s best bare knuckle fighter, took on two-time BYB champion LT “Smash” Nelson.
Jones got the better of round one, landing some strong punches and cutting Nelson.

But Nelson took control in round two, turning the fight into an inside battle and wearing Jones down.

In round three, Nelson finished “The Welsh Wrecking Machine”, claiming the Police Gazette Diamond Title and bragging rights as the promotion’s best fighter.

With the win, Nelson improves his bare knuckle record to 6-1-1 (6 KOs). Jones is now 10-1 (9 KOs).
Lerwell Wins in 22 Seconds!
In the co-main event, Welsh cruiserweight Dan Lerwell needed only 22 seconds to defeat David Calveley.
Lerwell stopped Caleveley with the first combination he landed.

Skurtu Beats Darch by Doctor’s Stoppage
Popular Welsh fighter Dorian “Darkfruits” Darch started well against Volodymyr Skurtu, knocking the Ukrainian down with a right hand.

Skurtu got up and tried to win back Darch’s respect. He scored cleanly with some punches and busted Darch’s ear. After the doctor checked Darch’s ear, the fight was stopped.

Paul Hilz won a unanimous decision against Jonny Lawson in a match up between veteran bare knucklers.
