It’s been a year of firsts for BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing.
The Florida-based promotion debuted in both California and Mexico this year, with events in Los Angeles and Tijuana in July and September.
This Saturday, the promotion visits another new location, as BKB visits Newcastle for the first time. . The Utilita Arena will host the action.
Twelve big bouts are scheduled for BKB 60, including the previously announced matchup between reigning super welterweight champ Rolando Dy and British legend Scott McHugh.
The BKB 60 co-feature matches Scotland’s David Winiarski (4-1) and Wales’s Geraint Goodridge (3-0). Winiarski defeated former title challenger James Connelley earlier this year in Manchester. Goodridge is yet to go past the second round in three professional bare knuckle fights.
In other action, former boxing champion Joseph “JoJo” Diaz (1-0 bare knuckle) faces Brian Hyslop (2-1).
Heavyweight contender Mark O’Neill (4-3) meets upset-minded Aaron Ashton (1-3). Ashton defeated Brad Donovan by first-round stoppage in Lonon in February. O’Neill was forced to withdraw from a title shot against reigning heavyweight king Gustavo Trujillo in August due to visa issues.
Unbeaten Adel Altamimi (3-0), a Bellator MMA veteran, meets the experienced Liam Swaney Howell.
Former English light heavyweight boxing champ Dec Spelman (4-0) looks to continue his ascent against Marley Churcher (4-5). Spelman stopped veteran Kevin Greenwood in May as part of the Dy-Malignaggi undercard at BKB 54 in Manchester.
Jon Telfer (2-1) takes on Mick Kelly (2-0). A light heavyweight bout between unbeatens Liam Teruel (3-0) and Nathan Conroy (1-0) rounds out the main card.
The BKB 54 main card streams live starting at 7:30 pm UK time/2:30 ET on the TalkSPORT Boxing YouTube Channel in the UK and Ireland.

Before the main card, the four-bout BKB 60 Prelims card will air exclusively on the BKB TikTok channel starting at 6pm UK time/1pm ET.
BKB 60 Press Conference & Weigh-Ins Friday
BKB 60 Fight Week officially kicked off today with an open workout at Mick Terrill’s BKB Gym Newcastle. Terrill, the former BKFC Heavyweight Champion and current BKB top heavyweight contender, was supposed to fight Saturday but withdrew due to injuries suffered in his August defeat to Gustavo Trujillo at BKB 58.
BKB 60 Media Day is scheduled for tomorrow, followed by Friday’s press conference and weigh-ins. The presser and weigh-ins will be held at St James Stack, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4SG. The press conference is scheduled to start at 4pm, followed by the ceremonial weigh-ins.
