BKFC Bantamweight Champion Alberto Blas extended his first round KO streak to six fights, stopping challenger Ryan Reber Friday in the BKFC 66 main event.
Blas wasted no time. He pressed Reber from the opening bell, knocking Reber down with a right-left combo less than 30 seconds into the bout.
Reber got up but was quickly downed again.
Referee Andrew Glenn waved off the bout after finishing the ten-count, with a dazed Reber taking a knee.
Official time was 56 seconds.
Blas improves to 6-0, all wins by first-round KO. It was the Cuban’s first successful defence of the BKFC bantamweight belt.
Reber slips to 6-1 with the loss.
Davis, Perdomo Victorious
In the BKFC 66 co-feature, featherweight contender Howard “HD” Davis was too much for James Brown, winning by first-round TKO.
Davis knocked Brown down three times before ref Sam Burgos stopped the fight.
It’s the second straight win for former title challenger Davis, who improves to 8-2-1 in bare knuckle with the victory. It’s Brown’s first loss after starting his BKFC career with three wins.
Heavyweight contender Leonardo Perdomo improved to 5-0 with 5 knockouts. Perdomo knocked veteran Steve Banks down twice to win by TKO in round one.
