BYB Extreme announced a second title match for its debut event in Albuquerque, New Mexico on 11 January.
Top ranked welterweight contenders Walter Saravia and Javon Wright will fight for the vacant BYB Police Gazette Welterweight Title as part of the event.
Last week, it was announced reigning BYB Police Gazette Super Middleweight Champion LT Nelson will rematch James Connelly in the BYB 35 Albuquerque Brawl main event. The two fought to a draw last year. Saravia and Wright will join them as the second title fight at BYB 35.
Saravia holds the number one ranking in the current BYB ratings. The Argentina native is 2-0 with 2 KOs in the Mighty Trigon, with wins against Shawn Rall and Isaac Ware.
Saravia came to bare knuckle with a pro boxing background. The 35-year-old still competes in gloved boxing as well as bare knuckle fighting.
Wright is nicknamed “The Wolfman”. The 35-year-old Missouri native is a 12-fight MMA veteran who’s also competed in kickboxing and boxing.
Wright’s bare knuckle record stands at 1-1. He lost to Alcibiade Duran (known as Roberto Duran Jr) in his BYB debut, but rebounded with a win against Kylle McMillan at BYB 31 in September. The unanimous decision over the previously unbeaten McMillan put Wright in title contention. He gets a chance at his first major pro fighting title against Saravia.
Brazil’s Carlos Alexandre previously held BYB’s welterweight title. Alexandre vacated the belt and is moving up in weight, according to the promotion’s announcement.
