UFC veteran Aspen Ladd will make her BKB debut on 28 August in Miami versus former title challenger Bianca Daimoni. BKB announced the fight Tuesday.
The 31-year-old signed with BKB in June after an impressive bare knuckle debut against Shyanne Bitliff at BKFC 84 last November.
After an impressive amateur MMA career, Ladd won her first five pro MMA fights and was signed by the UFC. She went 4-3 in the promotion between 2017 and 2022 before she parted ways with the organisaiton and joined rival league PFL.
Ladd fought five times in PFL, including a decision loss to former PFL champion and current UFC star Kayla Harrison. Her last MMA fight was a win over Ekaterina Shakalova in the Bellator Champion Series in 2024. Her MMA record stands at an impressive 12-5.
In her bare knuckle debut against Bitliff, Ladd showed a tight defence and good power, dispatching Bitliff late in the first round.
Daimoni should provide a sterner test. The Brazilian went the distance with BKB women’s welterweight champion Jamie Driver at BKB 50 in January, and even scored a late knockdown of the respected champion. Daimoni holds a 1-1 record in BKB – she defeated Wales’s Ashley Brace in her bare knuckle debut at BKB 36 in Cardiff.
BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing has bolstered its women’s fight roster recently by signing Ladd and popular Canadian Jade Masson-Wong.
