Someone’s “O” has got to go.
Alberto Blas and Ryan Reber are yet to lose in BKFC’s Squared Circle.
That will change Friday night, as the two unbeatens clash for Blas’s bantamweight belt at BKFC 66.
Blas, fighting out of Cuba by way of Miami, is 5-0 since taking off the gloves. All wins have come by first-round stoppage.
In his last bout, Blas demolished defending champion Keith Richardson in just 70 seconds to win the belt. Richardson was so out of it he tried to fight the ref.
Reber has an inspiring back story. He earned his way into BKFC through their tryouts. Also fighting out of Florida, Reber debuted in 2022 with a stoppage win against Micah Mitchell.
He’s won five more to improve his BKFC record to 6-0 (3 KOs).
Reber’s biggest win was a split decision over veteran contender Travis “The Animal” Thompson last year. The fight was even after five rounds and went to an overtime round, which Reber edged to remain unbeaten.
He’ll be the underdog against Blas, who’s never gone the full five-round distance or even past the first round.
Will Reber be the man to break Blas’s first-round knockout streak? Does he have the skills to pull off the upset?
Fans will find out Friday night (early Saturday morning in the UK).
BKFC 66 is streaming worldwide via the BKFC app. Fans in the UK can catch the action on Premier Sports 1 starting at 1am Saturday morning.
You can also buy the pay-per-view stream on Triller TV. Unlimited replays are included for just $9.99.
Davis, Perdomo in Action at BKFC 66
In the BKFC 66 co-feature, featherweight contenders Howard Davis and James Brown meet in a bout with title fight repercussions. Davis previously challenged for the featherweight title. He lost a unanimous decision to defending champion Kai Stewart last December.
Brown defeated Stevo Morris in his BKFC debut. He then spoiled the bare knuckle debut of former boxing titlist Mike Alvarado, winning by second-round stoppage.
Brown beat Ukraine’s Bovar Khanakov in his last bout.
In the featured fight, Cuba’s Leonardo Perdomo (4-0 4 KOs) takes on Steve “Panda” Banks (3-1, 3 KOs).
Like his countryman Blas, Perdomo has won all his matches by first-round stoppage. Banks is a kickboxer and Muay Thai veteran turned bare knuckler. Banks started his BKFC career with three straight stoppage wins, but was stopped by current heavyweight king Mick Terrill in his last bout in 2022.
The Panda will return after a 22-month layoff to face unbeaten wrecking machine Perdomo.
