Former BKFC interim champion and Bellator veteran Mike “The Marine” Richman will challenge Jared Warren for the BKFC Light Heavyweight Title
on 21 December.
The highly anticipated fight headlines a BKFC on DAZN event taking place at the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida.
Richman (6-2, 6 KOs) held the interim title before losing to then titleholder Lorenzo Hunt at Knuckle Mania 3 in February 2023. “The Marine” had knocked Hunt down and hurt him before Hunt connected with a huge punch to score a stunning first-round knockout.
Warren won the vacant title by beating Jomi Escoboza by unanimous decision in June. The Florida fighter improved to 7-2 (5 KOs) with the win.
Richman is one of the sport’s most exciting knockout artists. In Warren, he faces a newly crowned champ who’s greatly improved and growing in confidence. It’s Warrens first title defence, and a home-state crowd and large audience watching on DAZN will add extra motivation.
The co-feature is another mouth-watering showdown. BKFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Christine Ferea (9-1) defends against undefeated Christine Vicens.
The long-reigning Ferea comes off a lackluster decision win against Jade Maisson-Wong. “The Misfit” will be looking to impress after a dull fight with Wong that had the Utah fans booing the lack of action.
Vicens has impressed in wins against former title challengers Wong and Melanie Shah. She takes a big step up in competition against Ferea, one of the best bare knuckle fighters in the world.
Additional matches will be announced in due course. BKFC on DAZN: Hollywood streams exclusively on the DAZN streaming platform.
