BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing (formerly BYB Extreme) returns to Cardiff’s Vale Arena on 19 April.
Welsh world champion Liam Rees makes his homecoming in the main event, defending his BKB Super Welterweight Title against Martin Refell.
Nicknamed “Rocky”, Rees (4-0, 2 KOs) will be fighting in BKB for the first time in Wales. Since debuting in March 2023, all of his bouts have taken place in England.
The Swansea resident scored the biggest win of his career last October, knocking out the more experienced Scott McHugh to win the BKB Title. He makes his first defence against England’s Refell (6-2, 3 KOs), who enters the title bout on a 3-fight winning streak.
Refell will be looking for his second straight Cardiff knockout. He stopped Ryan McCann in less than two minutes at BYB 30: Cardiff Brawl last August.
Cub Hawkins Makes UK Debut in Title Showdown with Marshman
In the BKB 40 co-main event, cruiserweight champion Nicholas “Cub” Hawkins (6-1) makes his second defence against UFC veteran and unbeaten contender Jack Marshman (2-0).
Hawkins has held titles at both light heavyweight and cruiserweight, and comes off a stoppage win over challenger Zion Tomlinson. The Chicago native has won all of his six victories by stoppage, including a win over Wales’s Dan Lerwell.
Marshman showed impressive boxing skills in a stoppage win over Alex Wilson in February. The Abertillery, Wales resident makes the short trip south to Cardiff in search of his first bare knuckle title.
