This past Saturday at BKB 54, BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing CEO David Tetreault announced the promotion’s summer 2026 schedule.
Fans can look forward to four fight nights between June and August, with some big names from professional boxing and bare knuckle
taking part, including three former boxing world champions.
BKB 55: Lee Selby Debuts on 27 June at “Carnage in Cardiff”
Billed as “The Summer of BKB: A Gladiatorial World Tour”, BKB’s summer event schedule kicks off with BKB 55 in Cardiff on 27 June at Vindico Arena.
Former boxing world champion “Lightning” Lee Selby takes off the gloves for the first time against Antonio Rizzo, an Italian combat sports pro who’s competed in kickboxing and has a 1-0 bare knuckle record.
The co-main event matches two former world champions. England’s Dan “Big Pod” Podmore, a former BKB Bridgerweight Champion, takes
on former Police Gazette cruiserweight champion Jarome Hatch. Both men have something to prove after recent losses.
Top ranked heavyweight contender Kamil Sokolowski faces Mark O’Neill, and Welsh veteran Dorian “Darkfruits” Darch battles MMA veteran turned bare knuckler Lee Chadwick. Chadwick impressed in his BKB debut in Cardiff last December with a first-round stoppage over veteran Rob Boardman.
More matches are to be confirmed. The event is taking place at Vindico Arena. Ticket prices start at £75 for reserved seating, with VIP seats and tables also available. Visit the Vindico Arena Events page for more information.

Victor Ortiz, Smash Nelson, “Perro” Angulo See Action at BKB 56: Los Angeles
Three weeks later on 18 July, BKB debuts in Los Angeles, where Tetreault once served as the Chief Business Officer of Golden Boy Promotions.
The Novo Live Theatre in downtown LA hosts the hostilities. Visit the BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing website for more info.
Former boxing champion “Vicious” Victor Ortiz makes his bare knuckle debut on the fight card against an opponent to be confirmed.
Lorawnt “Smash” Nelson, the reigning BKB super middleweight champion and regarded as one of the sport’s best fighters, will also be in action.
Popular former boxing contender Alfredo “Perro” Angulo makes his bare knuckle return. Angulo previously fought in BKFC, where he went 1-1 with a stoppage win over Jeremiah Riggs and decision loss to Julian “Let Me Bang” Lane.
Bellator MMA veteran Adel Altamimi (2-0 in bare knuckle) is also scheduled for action.

BKB 56: Mick Terrill and Vargas Brothers Headline BKB’s London Return
Bare Knuckle Heroes reported the news as it broke Saturday: Former BKFC Champion Mick Terrill will make his BKB return on 25 July. Terrill will look to win impressively as he moves toward his goal of a title shot against reigning BKB heavyweight champion Gustavo “The Cuban Assassin” Trujillo.
Fernando Vargas Jr and Amado Vargas, two boxing prospects and sons of legendary junior middleweight champion Fernando Vargas, step into BKB’s Mighty Trigon as part of the fight card.
It’s BKB’s second visit to London this year. Check back to BKH for fight card updates and ticket information.

“Cyclone Season” in Miami at BKB 58
The final stop on BKB’s summer tour is Florida, the home state of BKB Bare Knuckle Founder Mike Vazquez and co-founder Dada 5000.
Former boxing world champion Yuriorkis “El Ciclon de Guantanamo” (Cyclone from Guntanamo) Gamboa makes his anticipated BKB debut.
The 2004 Olympic Gold Medalist and onetime IBF featherweight champion was one of boxing’s most exciting fighters in his prime, with dazzling speed and knockout power. Gamboa has faced the likes of Terence Crawford, Gervonta Davis, Orlando Salido, Daniel Ponce De Leon and Devin Haney during a notable career.
How he’ll fare in the Mighty Trigon fighting with bare fists is the big question. Gamboa’s biggest ring achievements came years ago. Will Gamboa be able to adapt and excel in a different sport? Fans will find out on 29 August.
